Disney Day

What a great birthday! Even though it was not a traditional celebration, it was a wonderful day. I feel very blessed.

I did not have a big party with lots of friends. Instead, I had no less than three of my favorite people (and their kids and hubbies) join me at the park. Karlie, Rachel, and Becka were there and made me feel really special.

I did not receive any wrapped presents. But I did get many gifts:
1) Malcom agreed to spend money to go to Disneyland in the first place.
2) The man at the ticket booth upgraded our tickets to TWO-DAY park hopper passes which means that we can return any time in the next 30 days for FREE. Woah.
3) Bekah was so well behaved even without a nap. It will take another 30 years before she realizes what a wonderful present that was!
4) Karlie helped me get hooked on pin trading and even bought me a cute pin to start.

My new lanyard and Tinkerbell pins--the one with my name (spelled correctly!) is from Karlie.

I did not have anyone sing happy birthday to me. However, due to the huge "Happy Birthday Lindsey" button given at the ticket counter, every employee we passed wished me a happy birthday and several strangers did too. Awww, how nice!

And finally, even though I did not have a birthday cake with candles, I finished my day with a delicious treat: a Sprinkles cupcake and the best root beer on the planet. Mmmm...!
(That's Henry Weinhard's Root Beer, in case you didn't know. And if you didn't, you really should!)

My only regret was in the photo department: how did I get out of there with only ONE picture of me?! Nothing with my girlfriends?! Nothing with my husband?! Nothing of me enjoying the day?! Alas, I guess I'll just have to count on my memory. Here are a few I managed to capture:

Looking way up at her tall daddy. So sweet. :)

Happy Birthday! I'm so glad you had fun. And jealous about where you went. It's great to spend your favorite day your favorite way, huh?

Happy Birthday! I think Disneyland was a lot better than presents would have been. I totally understand how hard it is to get in the pictures.
