...baby, right round, like a record baby, right round, round, round.
I usually hate getting songs stuck in my head, especially random 80's pieces that I only know half the words to. But lately I've been grateful for this song, as well as Time After Time, and Tainted Love.
Why?
Because any song stuck permanently in my head is better than this:
I made the mistake of finding a few videos for Bekah on YouTube and she absolutely loves this one. I don't only hate it because it refuses to leave the background of my thoughts. I also hate it because it doesn't really rhyme, it's not to the "right" tune, and because the lady who sings is weird--she sings like she's performing at the opera and she makes some really creepy faces.*
Yet for some reason, Rebekah loves it and I end up hearing it over and over again. When she's done playing with the laptop, I still hear the song repeatedly throughout my day as it comes unwelcomed to my mind and refuses to vacate.
So if you have suggestions for other 80's songs to help me purge my "bad thoughts," bring them on. I hope one of them will work permanently.
*Like on "ha-ha-ha, that's a sound," "I open my mouth so wide," and "my mouth is full of teeth." Watch it again, you'll see exactly what I'm talking about!

The only song that comes to my mind is YMCA. It has letters too. That video is kind of...., well..., YA, I can see why you don't like it. Good Luck with that.
Oh gosh, that is one of the worst videos I have ever seen! Try Noggin.com for videos she'll love. My kids sit there and watch the Upside Down show and Jack's big music show for videos.
