Adventures in the life of a 3-year old

I bought Bekah some fake nails from a clearance bin recently. They were about as high-quality as you'd expect from 88-cent fake nails, so they didn't stay on long. While they did, I took some pictures:

Then she hijacked my camera and took pictures all over the house...

She was most proud of that last one--she showed me excitedly and said, "Look, mom, it's my FOOT!!"

I'm hoping I can soak in all of this silliness before she leaves home in September. Well, she's just going to preschool, and it's only three hours a day, but I know it's just the beginning of letting go. Of years of sharing her with school and teachers and friends and all kinds of things outside our little world. I know I have to let her grow up, of course, but I feel like it's just going to go so quickly from here and I have to grasp a few more precious months with her while I can. On the agenda this Summer: play dates with friends, swimming, camping, and lots of hanging out with her while I still have her mostly-undivided attention and devotion. :)

She is so adorable. The mirror one made me think of the horrible facebook poser ones all the teenagers try, which then makes me think of how soon I love my little girls to the teenage years and beyond, it goes by SO fast, keep her close!

Stick on nails - BWAHAHAHAHA!!!! Those are hideously awesome. Probably made her week.

It's good to know Malcom is still cleaning the ol' bathrooms.

Wow, am I ever behind on commenting on here. Sorries.
