A friend asked for more pictures of Rebekah, so Devon, here's for you!
Bekah is 8 months old now and seems so grown up. I know, those of you who have much older kids are thinking 'just wait!' But for now, I'm surprised by how much she can do, how quickly she learns new things, and how much fun we can have together.
She is content to sit and play for a long time by herself. Sometimes she whines for more hands-on attention, and I'll have her sit on my lap and play. Often, she'll sit like this, and thoroughly examine her favorite toys.

She loves to pull up on everything. Recently we bought the jumbo pack of toilet paper at Costco and she realized what a great play toy it is. It's large enough to block her way to the kitchen (yucky floors!), heavy enough for her to pull up on without tipping over (unlike so many other things in the house), and coated in plastic so it's resistant to spit up (which she's doing so much less now, but still does on occasion). You can also see a cute curl on top and her sweet little teeth. She's had those since 6 1/2 months, but we haven't captured them in pictures until now.

And finally, the wave. Bekah has learned how to wave and it's so cute! She started doing it only for Malcom, but quickly learned that it applies to everyone, not just Daddy. I love it when she sees me and waves her little hand excitedly! Of course, she wouldn't do it on camera until I whistled at her; I hope that's not an omen of her teenage years!

She is so big. 8 months was hard for me because like you said, David wanted attention from me and couldn't quite entertain himself for long periods of time. At about 12 months he started to rifle through his toys on his own and he was walking really well and it was like a burden was lifted. He could play and I could do other things! yay! She is amazing to already wave. David won't even do that yet and he's 19 months.
She is such a cutie! I love the wave, and your whistle isn't bad either:)
I love the wall o' toilet paper idea... and spit-up-proof! Too funny. Can't wait to see her again!
The video of her waving is so cute :) It's always so much fun seeing them do new things!
