My 30th birthday is soon (May 20) and I am really looking forward to it! I have big plans to go on a nice date with Malcom. For Memorial Day weekend, I'll be with my girlfriends. We are going to get SPA TREATMENTS!! I am all signed up for a refreshing facial, a luxurious lavender body wrap, and a hot-stone massage. I have always wanted to do these things and now is my big day. Even when I think about the spa, I feel a little more relaxed. Ahhh. . .
I am NOT upset about turning 30. I feel really grown up and like my life is finally starting to be what I want. I have more experience and knowledge about myself and what really matters in the big picture. I think that people hate turning 30 because they always used to think that 30 was 'old.' Well, we only thought 30 was old when we were teenagers, and what the heck did we know about life then?! Besides, if we kept every mindset we had when we were teenagers, we'd all be in a lot of trouble! (Actually, I know people like that, and I choose not to spend time with them.) So why not just CHANGE our mindset about being 30, realize that we didn't know much when we were teenagers, and celebrate the fact that we're moving up in life?!
Well, I'm definitely celebrating, and I'll be loving every minute of it!

I was excited about turning 30 last year. I even bought my mom some flowers to thank her for my birthday. I am satisfied with my life. I have a good husband and 4 wild children, What more could a girl want? I am jealous about the whole spa with your girlfriends thing. Have a happy and wonderful birthday. As for me I hope to have a good time turning 31 on the 14th.
I'm in the same boat this year wiht my 30th. I think we view 30 like people did 20 (30 years ago). It's when we can finally make the huge life changing times. I did a lot in the last 10 years, but it's just now that I'm finally figuring out what I really want in life and what direction I want the rest of it to head. I've always been "me" but now I'm not questioning myself when I do make those decisions. Ok this sounds cheezy. I'm hoping to get out and do the same thing for my b-day! Take care!
All right, FINE!
I turn 30 on Sept. 11th and I really am not looking forward to it. Yes, I am older and wiser, blah blah blah. I get it. Can we still be friends?
