First Step!
Bekah took her first independent steps today! Malcom helped her by holding her hips for the first few steps toward me, but after that, she just leaned forward and took THREE all on her own. I was so excited I scooped her up for a big hug and almost cried with joy!!! I don't think I'll ever get over the exhilaration I feel when I see her grasp something new. Now I wonder, is she the type of kid who will take two more months to get to the actual walking stage, or the type who will figure it out in a week? My bets are on the later because she's so fiercely independent. On the other hand, the little girl always finds ways to surprise me, so what do I know?!

Yeah, Bekah!!! That's exciting. What an adventure.
OH my gosh! You are growing her up too fast! I can't believe she's actually old enough to be walking, even though mine were the same age.
Good for you, Bekah Boo!!! Can't wait to see it for myself -- just 11 days until our trip!
It's always fun when they learn to walk or learn anything. Temberlie walked non-stop when she finally learned how. Just be careful, she may be under your feet all the time before to long. Trust me I know!
Hurrah!! Exciting now... but there will soon come a day you will wish she COULDN'T walk! :-)

Sarah took hers in May and was one of those kids that took 2 months to figure it out. I guess it didn't help that she wasn't crawling yet either, and that distracted her for a bit!
Congrats though! You're on your way!
