T-Shirt Redo

I recently saw a great tutorial for altering a boy's t-shirt for a girl. I saved it and thought I might use it "someday." At Target the following week, Bekah fell in love with a Toy Story t-shirt from the boys' section. I didn't hesitate to buy the treasured item because I knew I could make it work with the help of a random blog mom who was ambitious enough to post a tutorial. Thank you!

I forgot to take a picture until I had already cut off the sleeves, so here is a mostly-BEFORE:

Then I followed the steps: cut and hem the sleeves, cut the neck, sew three lines around the middle with elastic thread, and you're done.

And here is the AFTER:

I know it's a subtle difference, but I really like how it turned out. I'm pretty sure Bekah doesn't care one way or the other, but I don't like my little girl looking like a little boy. I'm sure I'll use this idea again in the future.

Great job! I know it's hard to tell in the photos the subtle difference in the shape of the shirt, but it really is more feminine without that boxy shape, isn't it?
