But two weekends ago, my parents came over to California and we totally soaked up the sun. They stayed in the BEST condo down in Oceanside for a week and we joined them for one night. It was so relaxing. The condo is probably 50 yards from the water. We could hear the waves all day and night, a peaceful background static.
Bekah really enjoyed the beach and even got in the water. She was afraid at first, I think because the waves are unpredictable, but she went walking with Grandma Reid and learned to love the shoreline. My mom is the beach-walking guru, so Bekah learned from the best.
Here are a few photos from the quick trip. I really hope the family reunion at the beach condo idea Mom was kicking around comes to fruition. It would be an amazing time!

You have got to cut that last picture in half - it makes me look sooooooo out of proportion. :0) Glad to see the pictures. I am talking up the beach family week for end of September or first part of October next year. so far everyone said they would try to make it. I am working on it!
