In case you hadn't heard, I had a LOST finale party on Sunday. I've been planning it ever since the season premier when Amy had a LOST premier party and I was sad I couldn't go. I knew I could make a good party too, so I focused on the finale. I didn't really start planning until May, but it was plenty of time to make lots of decorations, spend too much money, and generally obsess over it. I invited a random assortment of friends who were all super-fans of the show and I wanted to make it special.
First, this is what you'd see as you arrive.
Ocean. Green vines. And an ominous Dharma symbol. (Sorry to anyone who doesn't watch and doesn't know the significance of these things!)
And if you looked high on the door, you'd see THE NUMBERS and how they all added up to 108, which is our apartment number. Very cool coincidence!
Inside was more vines. Please ignore the stupid Yo-Gaba-Gaba dude on the TV. Bekah was being entertained while I put finishing touches on stuff.
A closer look at the bookcases reveals a picture from Jack's wedding...
...some water bottles and an airplane.
Next was more beach scene, complete with random luggage and a smoke monster. That thing took lots of time and it still only turned out moderately well. I wish I had had twice as much money to buy tulle and more time to make it better. But people got the idea.
Then, in the kitchen were random collections of Dharma foods.
That "Oat Holes" one was done by Malcom. The others I found online, but I couldn't find one for cereal. Being the graphics guy he is, he just whipped one up. He even altered some of the text on the side to say, "Honey Flavored Oat Holes can help lower your cholesterol. This is great news for you, your family, Jacob, and your heart!" He's awesome!!
Of course we had some good food too.
There was pulled pork sandwiches (thanks for the recipe, Amy), fresh fruit, goldfish (in that white bowl on the right side), veggies with Dharma ranch dressing, and LOST-themed cupcakes.
Those babies were a hit--there weren't any left at the end!!
And randomly posted throughout the house were these beauties:
I found the posters online and my LOST buddy Krista had her husband print them up at his printing company. They are so rad!!!! The text is really funny too.
I also did a LOST trivia quiz with multiple choice answers. Everyone was stumped on some of them but it was fun. I gave Dharma magnets to the two winners. So fun!
And that's it. I decorated like crazy for a party where we all stared at the TV for four hours!! But honestly, everyone loved the decorations and I think it was fitting for a show that we were all crazy about.

What great decorations! I never did get into LOST and really only know a little about it, but from what I do know they look awfully close and creative. Glad to see your empty water bottle collecting paid off!
SO AWESOME!!! I never heard about those posters! (They are way cool.) It would have been great to be together to watch it, but alas, now we'll just get to debate it forever and ever.......
Very cool! I so wish I'd been able to come! (Not that I'm a huge fan, but I do 'get' the show and who wouldn't want to be around all that good food?!) Sounds like you had tons of fun!
Simply amazing!!! WOW!
Wish I could have been there.
That is sooo awesome!! My mom is a fanatic! She's going to cry when she sees this! Awesome job! I love the foods. hahah
You did a great job at this too. You amaze me!
WOW! I wish I could have gone!! (Just for one of those cupcakes!) Looks like you did an amazing job. I won't show Caitlin, because it'll just make her sad. But awesome!
It was awesome and I was very glad to be there. Great job Lindsey!
