Reason #7,280 I'm glad I didn't marry Dave, and other random stuff

**I was watching The Bachelorette last night (one of my guilty pleasures!) and a guy named Hunter was on there. He had a nice enough personality, but it was his face that really got me. I kept thinking two things: 1) He is not cute. At all. 2) He looks like Dave (the guy after college that I decided to marry, but thankfully he dumped me). I think it's kinda funny and a nice relief to realize that this guy I was so smitten with, the guy for whom I dumped another awesome guy, is someone who I do not think is attractive 10 years later. I think my friends and family must've thought that while I was dating him, but I didn't see it. I sure see it now, and boy am I glad I didn't marry someone who I'm not attracted to. I'm sure his wife loves him dearly, and it's not really about looks, but the general attraction for me is so not there!

**Bekah was playing in the pillows today and I snapped a few pictures:

**Here is Bekah wearing her fabulous new skirt, made by my fabulous sister-in-law Amy.

**Pregnancy is going well. I feel the baby moving a lot during the day and I love it! I don't have to wait for a monthly checkup to hear a heartbeat and know the baby is still alive. My ultrasound is 6 days away and we get to find out the gender. I'm not really leaning either way, but things would certainly be easier if it was a girl. Fewer clothes to buy, less room re-arranging, etc. Either way, the part where we see the baby on the screen is really the best.

**I love Summer. I had a few friends and their kids over today to swim. The water was chilly, but we kept at it. I shared popsicles with everyone and we had a great time. I will be there at least twice a week, for sure!

**Here are the latest bee blocks I finished, the ones for June:

They were a challenge because getting the points to line up all in the center wasn't easy. And the ironing between each step took FOREVER. But I like the "scrappy" look of it and I think the final quilt that's being made will look really cool. I didn't choose these colors, but for a boy's quilt, I think it really works. Can I just say again how much I love learning new quilting techniques?! I'm 100% sold on this hobby!!

Such a fun post!!!! I love the skirt on her. Does it fit around the waist ok?

Yowza those blocks are COOOOOL. I've never seen that design before and it's pretty neat. I agree about that ironing. It's so annoying to get up and down from the sewing machine and keep pressing everything, but I guess it's a necessary evil.

Bekah's new skirt is so cute! I have never wanted to make quilts, but after seeing the blocks you have made, I am tempted to jion a quilting bee. Although I don't know if I could figure out the pattern of those blocks. You did an awesome job on them.

I have to agree about Dave. Sorry Dave (bless his heart). Your quilt blocks are great. I wish I had the time to do some crafts. I just have a hard enough time keeping up with work, home, and family. To everything there is a season!
