So You Think You Can Dance!

I had the wonderful opportunity to go watch a taping of SYTYCD yesterday! It was so amazing.

They tape on Mondays for the Wednesday show, which makes me think that the dancers only learn their dances on Fridays and have three short days to practice-yikes! This makes it even more amazing that they are so incredible.

I took my friend from church with me, Nanette. We have only hung out a few times before, but there's nothing like waiting in line for three hours to bring a friend closer! We talked about EVERYTHING and really enjoyed the time sitting on the sidewalk in the semi-shade and light breeze.

Once inside, we were ECSTATIC with our "seats." We got to stand on the right side, the second row back. If you're watching on Wednesday night (which you should because it'll be a great show), and there is a wide shot of the stage, you should be able to see me (in turquoise) and Nannette (in black) in the far back right hand corner. It was a great view, but the best part was that we got to see EVERY dancer as they came on stage. They were honestly five feet away. We screamed their names, told them they looked great, and waved to them. They smiled at us (all of us, not just me, but I'll take it!) and waved back. They were even more beautiful and more amazing in person, and all a lot shorter. :)

Cat Deeley was honestly prettier in person and her shoes were FABULOUS; you'll have to watch for those especially. The judges were more annoying, if you can believe it. They talked for a lot longer than they do on the show, so they must edit out a lot of their banter.

The music was insanely loud, in a good way. I really felt inspired and in awe at the dancers' talents. After watching in person, I have to say that my two favorites are still KATEE and JOSHUA. Actually, my fave guy was Will, but he was already voted off (way too early, I might add!). Anyway, I won't spoil any of the show for you, but their moves were INCREDIBLE. If you haven't watched any other episode this season, watch tomorrow, you won't regret it.

So, it was great fun. I really enjoyed the dancing and the company. I may not be on TV on Wednesday, but watch for me anyway! :P Oh, and no, I didn't get pictures because cameras and cell phones aren't allowed.
