7th Anniversary

Today marks SEVEN years of Malcom and I being married.

Woah.

I know many of my friends and family have been married longer, some of you much longer, but seven years seems like a long time! For some reason it feels so much closer to 10 than 5, which is mathematically incorrect but personally rings true.

We mostly celebrated on Saturday. My good friend Krista stayed with Bekah, and Malcom took me to a fancy, expensive restaurant. The last time we spent a lot of money on a dinner was before we were engaged, so it was time. We went to La Vecchia Cucina in Santa Monica. We made a reservation and requested the most romantic spot. They gave us the sweet little table by the front window. The place was a little loud, but it didn't really matter. I had lamb chops over an arugula and spinach salad. Malcom got the baked white fish. We both thoroughly enjoyed the meal. For dessert I got a chocolate, banana cream torte, and Malcom had strawberry gelato. Everything was delicious. It felt really nice to spoil ourselves.

Today we made a nice dinner at home and just relaxed after our busy days. We even looked through our wedding album together. :) Maybe it sounds lame, but it was honestly very nice!

I really hope the next seven years are just as good as these first. I feel truly blessed to be married to such a sensitive, helpful, handsome, and peaceful man. I could go on and on, sorry. The point is that I am very happy to celebrate our anniversary and look forward to many more.

Happy Anniversary! What a fun way to celebrate! I don't think I've ever been somewhere where we made reservations first. What a treat!

Sister Sanders! I can't believe I found your blog. Your daughter has grown up so much, last time I saw her she had that weird thing on her leg. I like your new year's goals, good luck with the running. my husband and I are deciding whether we want to run a 1/2 marathon or marathon by the summer.
