Joyous Easter

Today was a great day. I woke up a little early to put a breakfast casserole in the oven. I took a few moments to enjoy the still morning and say a prayer of gratitude. What a blessing it is that Heavenly Father sent His son for us to conquer all our sins and trials. The most painful parts of this life are sin and death, but Christ overcame both and we have no real reason to worry. Easter brings such a renewed sense of hope and perspective that reminds me to celebrate the joys of life despite the trials.

Now, onto the less important, more worldly stuff: egg hunts and pretty dresses. We went to the Bunces to have a HUGE, delicious dinner and hunt eggs. Bekah enjoyed collecting eggs and was even happier when she realized that there was candy inside! All the kids had a great time.

Today I had fun getting Rebekah ready for church in her Easter dress. I love that she looks so pretty in it, that it only cost $10 (Old Navy rocks!) and that I found some pretty little sandals to match. I don't love that I had to get a size 2T just to get it long enough because the girl is so tall!!

The pictures look much better this time because Malcom took them with his incredible camera. If he had more time and/or energy, I'd make him take all the pictures in the family and I'd have beautiful shots like this all the time.

It's been a great weekend spending time with Malcom, Bekah, and our friends. I hope it was great for you too! :)

Glad to hear your Easter Day was so wonderful. Quiet here. But did get to color eggs with Mitchell and Tucker on Friday night(their first time ever). Amy says that she doesn't like to color them. Hope to make it a tradition now. Miss you all! Hugs!
