All day I kept making a mental list of things I "have" to blog about tonight, until I realized that my project is over! Too funny!
We haven't told Bekah about the pregnancy yet--just seems too early when she doesn't understand time and the birth is still over 6 months away. We won't really tell her until we know the gender and have pictures and my tummy is larger, hopefully to make the concept more concrete.
But today in the car, I figured I'd see how she feels about it. I asked her if she'd like us to get a baby for our family. She said yes. I asked her if she thinks it should be a baby boy or baby girl. I was surprised when she said "baby boy." I asked again, "Really? A baby boy?" And she quickly changed her answer to baby girl!
I dropped the subject and we listened to music. A few minutes later I asked her what she wanted to eat for dinner. When I suggested chicken nuggets, she said "baby girl." So, is it cute because she was still thinking about her answer long after the baby conversation? Or is it creepy because she thinks we can eat baby girls for dinner?
Either way, I don't think she really gets the idea.

I think it is cute that she was still thinking about the baby. I think she will be an awesome big sister and help you a lot.
