I've purchased my flight, so it's official: I'm going to NEW YORK CITY, baby!! I am so excited! This trip has been over a year in the making. My fabulous sister-in-law, Amy, has gone twice before and now she's a pro. She'll show us (a big group of women, mostly family) the ropes, such as buying the cheapest knock-off purses, getting reduced price tickets to Broadway shows, navigating the subways, and all the wonderful and crazy things about the Big Apple.
It'll be a fast trip, from Wednesday, April 29 to Saturday, May 2. My flight from Burbank (can I get a "hallelujah" that I don't have to depart from LAX?!) is non-stop and only cost me $260 round trip. Thank you Jet Blue!!
Yes, it may be a little crazy to plan a big trip when the economy sucks, but you're reading the blog of a woman whose also trying to buy a house right now!! It'll be a great break from life. Besides, if there's anything I learned from my post-college trip to Europe, it's that you take any chance you get to travel, don't worry too much about the cost, and you'll never regret it.

i am so jealous! i have always wanted to go to new york. if i hadn't of gotten married after i graduated that, i would have treated myself to a few weeks in the big apple at all the museums. have fun and take lots of pictures to post on your blog!
Oh that is so cool! I'm jealous too; I've always wanted to go to NYC! take plenty of pictures for us all to see
Matt and I went to NYC a couple years ago and it was so much fun! If you want to splurge on an incredible meal while you are there, you have to try Nino's Positano in Midtown. It's pricey, but worth every penny. (We ate fast food the rest of the time we were there!) Can't wait to hear all about your trip!
