Craft Tag

My cousin posted this as a way to get ready for Christmas crafts. Yes, it's a little early to be thinking about the holidays, but if I want to make something special, from scratch for anyone, I'd better start at least contemplating it.

Rules: If you're reading this, consider yourself tagged! Leave your name in the comments of my blog so that we know where to find more ideas and then, on your own blog, list 5 homemade gifts, trying to avoid duplicating what others have already posted. When instructions for the gift are needed/helpful, then please include links or general directions. Happy Crafting!!

1) Make an apron out of a tea towel. Tutorial here.

2) Hair bows, using flowers, ribbons, sparklies, etc.

3) Personalized magnets: use Mod Podge to attach cute papers or photos to the backs of clear/flat marbles (craft store). Hot glue magnets on the back. You can use photos of someone's favorite TV show or just cute colors to match their kitchen.

4) For kids: make a craft box. Fill a plastic tub with craft materials like pom-poms, pipe cleaners, glue, etc.

5) Cookie of the month club: Bake a dozen cookies for Christmas, then deliver a dozen every month on the 25th. Give a different type every month, or stick with their favorite kind year round. It's more work all year, but the cost is spread out over the year.

Linds, I was kidding around and commented giving you a hard time about tagging people for the christmas craft thing (I deleted it and the apology...I'm so weird).

I actually think it's a cute idea and I posted a craft on my blog for people to check out.

Thanks for participating! I was afraid no one would notice it :) I like your ideas (Madison would love some new hair pretties...) and I even visited Pat's page to see her thing. I love getting ideas moving and finding fun things to make for people!
