Beachy Day

Holly and I decided to head to the beach after Conference on Sunday. It had been a really beautiful weekend with such Octobery weather we had to get out in it. Besides, everyone from Arizona who visits really SHOULD get to the beach when they come.

Rebekah LOVED the sand. She played in it like it was her bath water. She especially enjoyed putting it in her mouth; yes, I did try to stop her, as often as I caught her, but in the end, she sure got a lot in there. I love the little sand goatee she wore most of the day.

She also loved just crawling around, even with her "baby" (the Glow Worm she got for her birthday). Poor guy got terribly sandy, but he doesn't seem to mind--he still has a smile on his glowing face!

Rebekah even took to "chasing" the birds around. She loved the noises they made and would crawl like mad to catch one, but they always got away. It was endless entertainment for her, and watching her (laughing at her) was entertaining for me too.

Of course, her other favorite thing was to be held by either of us. Even though Holly came with the purpose of studying/reading/relaxing, Bekah was such a cute distraction and Holly was definitely suckered into paying attention to the little sand baby.
