Same Sex Marriage in Education

I received this video in a forward and I think everyone should see it. If your state is voting on same sex marriage this year, you should know what you could be inviting into our public schools.

So one question I don't think anyone has brought up (It popped into my mind when I saw your title).

If we are teaching this as OK, and accepted, are they then going to have to teach it in SEX ED (which is already manditory in most high schools). That's a whole new can of worms!

My thought is this...If same sex couple were totally fine with their life style, then they wouldn't have to make it legal. I think they are ashamed of how they are living and they think that if it were legal, than it will be OK for them. But then it is not enough for it to be legal, because we all know that misery loves company. The more people they get on their side, the merrier. It is very sad, gross and down right wrong (in my view) to target children.

So...If illegal drugs were legalized will teachers be aloud to pass that out at school as well? If it is OK for one thing, why not another, right?

I got that video in an e-mail and was downright shocked that a school district would go that far to override parental rights. I did a Google search on the father that told his story and read some more from some newspaper articles. All said pretty much the same thing--he was just trying to stand up for his rights as a parent. For a while he was barred from all school property. Although the school district dropped all charges later, they still refuse to inform parents when same-sex relations are brought up, so some parents, including the ones in the video, have had to start homeschooling their kids. All I can say is that I hope Prop 8 passes in California and Prop 102 passes here in Arizona. Keep the word out in support of both of these!
