Giving Thanks, Day 11

I am thankful for good books. I love reading. Absolutely love it. Usually I read fiction as my favorite source of entertainment. But today I finished The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch, not fiction at all. It is such a great book that I highly recommend reading it AND giving it away as Christmas presents to everyone you know. Two of my favorite lines: "Any time we spend whining is unlikely to help us achieve our goals. And it won't make us happier," and "Go out and do for others what somebody did for you." The book is full of gems, little stories and pieces of advice that have helped me tweak my perspective and remember what really inspires me in life. A quick and very satisfying read.
