On Saturday, I was so happy to get to see my sister, Brenda, and her kids for the first time in almost two years. She has been distant from our family because she strongly disagrees with our religious beliefs. I have had a strained relationship with her, but she still allows me to call and chat every few months. I asked her if we could get together when I came, and she agreed. It was an answer to a prayer I had offered for over four months. It was a wonderful thing to meet her and the kids informally for lunch at McDonald's. I went with my mom and Rebekah. Emily, Michael, and Seth were happy to see us and we had a great chat while munching happy meals. Mom and Brenda talked for a long time while I watched the kids play with Bekah in the play area. It felt like there was never any time or tension between us. It was so exciting. I cried as I prayed last night, thanking God for such a blessing. I am so happy!
