Giving Thanks, Days 15 & 16

Yesterday I had a nice home-cooked dinner with Malcom and was very thankful for this recipe for 5 Minute Chocolate Cake. What? Is that possible?! Oh yes, my friends, it is! I tried it for the first time because I really wanted some chocolate for dessert and this sounded too good to be true. Now, to be fair, the cake did turn out a little spongey and not quite chocolately enough for my taste. I'll have to make changes the next time I attempt it. But the chocolate chips made a terrific "frosting" on top and it was a great treat, especially for only taking FIVE MINUTES. You should try it!

Today I am very thankful for choir practice. I haven't been a part of stake choir (at church) for over a year, since before I had Bekah. It has been great to join in again this time, just in time to practice for the Christmas presentation in a few weeks. It is exciting to sing Christmas music; good, challenging pieces which really put me in the mood for the season. It's also nice for Malcom who hates it when I play Christmas music too early (like, before Thanksgiving) so I get it out of my system at church on Sunday nights and won't play it around him until December.

The chocolate cake recipe is dangerous! Now it's just too easy to have cake anytime. After reading your post on it not being chocolatey enough, I added another tablespoon of cocoa powder and a dash of salt to bring out the flavor. Perfect! Thanks for sharing.
