Yesterday was a boring, basic day. I didn't have any huge event that made me turn around and think of gratitude. But I realized that life was getting hard for lots of people and I'm very thankful for my life in general. So many homes have burned in southern CA this weekend. And the economy is causing people to lose their homes and jobs. We still have secure jobs and a good place to live. We have our health and enough money to enjoy a few little extras. Life is good, even if it takes a boring day to remind me of it.
Today I am thankful for my Thanksgiving craftiness. I found a wreath kit at Michael's on clearance last week. It was $4.00 and full of crafty goodness. I don't have a picture yet, but when I do, I'll post it. It's paper leaves affixed to a wreath made of twigs. That actually sounds kinda lame, but it turned out great. I love feeling creative (well, semi-creative since it was a kit!) and accomplishing something with my day besides chores. :)
